2013 in a nutshell

Since I wasn't doing the blog, or keeping a journal I seriously cannot think of one thing besides school and work that Kevin and I did in January, February, and March. So just know that Kevin was getting about 4-5 hours of sleep a night because he was driving truck and going to school, and I was working 2 jobs while going to my last semester of school. It was a pretty crazy couple of months.

April
I graduated from College with my Bachelors in Health Science

Kevin and I went on a cruise to Mexico and it was SO much fun.

We moved to Idaho Falls (we both love it here so much!)

May
At the end of May we found out that I was pregnant! We were so excited!
Look how cute these little baby shoes are! How could we not be excited?
June
We celebrated my birthday in June. My Parents came up and we went out to Big Jud's for dinner. That same night we announced to our family that we were pregnant. It was so funny to see their faces.

July
Kevin and I went to the Idaho Falls Zoo in July. For the zoo being in such a small town (compared to other zoo locations) it was a pretty fantastic zoo. We loved seeing all of the animals.

August
We finally bought a Semi Truck in August. Kevin has been wanting to buy one since we first were married. Look at that sweet truck.

September
We Celebrated Kevin and Shantel's birthday in September. I love celebrating birthdays, but I am not very good at taking pictures.

October
Every October our family gets together and carves pumpkins, eats soup, and has a great night. This year was no exception.

November
Obviously we celebrated Thanksgiving in November. We were able to celebrate with both families this year.

Kevin was also interviewing for jobs like crazy! He was able to fly out to Vancouver and to Phoenix. It was a fun and stressful time of life.
The Companies would rent him fancy cars and pay for his hotel. The job in Phoenix picked him up in a Limo!

December
In December Kevin Graduated with his Bachelors in Financial Economics. That was such an exciting milestone in our lives.

Charity and Shantel both threw me baby showers. One was in Idaho Falls with the Haderlie side of my family, and the other was in Morgan with my Walker side of the family. I am so blessed to have family that cares so much for me.

I am so grateful for all of the experiences that we were able to go through this year. I cannot wait for next year and all of the new and exciting things that will be happening to us.

Christmas

YAY for Christmas! Christmas is Kevin's FAVORITE holiday, and in my top five. This year has been the first year that Kevin and I were able to take almost a whole week off and party with family. I love being with family. We headed down to my parents house on Monday morning. On our way down, we were able to stop at Kevin's Aunt Nadine's house. They just moved to Corinne, UT.  It was really fun to stop by and see their family and their new home.

We finally made it to Morgan, just to hop back in the car and head to Lyman, WY. It was my Grandpa's birthday, so we went up to celebrate. It was so nice. We were able to see some of my cousins and their children, several of my Aunts and Uncles, and of course my Grandma and Grandpa.  It was so fun! My grandpa got a HUGE snickers bar. My grandpa love snickers bars, and Dr. Pepper, and mixed nuts. He also received two left gloves. Apparently, we (the grand kids) have lost all of his left hand gloves.

True Love at its finest. I love my Grandparents

Tuesday Shantel, David and Lydia came up in the morning. We started puzzle. Every year we put together a puzzle during Christmas time.

We didn't finish it, but later that week my mom finished it.

That night Melissa and Blake showed up.  We made homemade pizza (that is another delicious tradition that we do every year). We love pizza.

After dinner we let Shantel and David open up their present. Everyone had to leave in the early afternoon on Christmas, so they opened their gift so we could play it. It was the game Bang. Kevin and I really like that game. We also drank hot Chocolate and Frappe.

On Christmas we woke up, and went down stairs. We opened presents and hung out with each other. We are so blessed to have such a giving family. We got some things for Baby Haderlie, and some things for us. Kevin gave me a beautiful pair of earrings, a cute scarf, a subway gift card, and a spaghetti scooper thing. The subway gift card is so that once this baby is born I can get a nice big sandwich. You aren't supposed to eat deli meat when you are pregnant, and it has been killing me. The spaghetti scooper thing is funny. I have been wanting one for years, and I ask for it on every gift exchanging occasion., and I finally got it. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.

Lydia has the cutest little face! I love how happy she was about this little dog.
Later that day we were able to skype with my brother Matthew. He is serving a mission in New Jersey. He comes home on January 8th. It was so good to see him and catch up a little bit. He is so funny. His companion was the one who first answered the skype call, it was funny. At the end, Matt and his companion sang a song. It sounded SO good. I was so impressed.

After skyping we headed up to Kevin's parents house. It was so fun this year because so many of Kevin's family was able to go up to his parent's house. His Sister Jenny and her family was there, Shannon and Collen were there, Gary and his kids came down for Christmas day, Steven was there, and Michael and his family came up on the day after Christmas. It was so fun to see everyone.

We were also celebrating Steven's Birthday!

See how awesome my nieces and nephews are?

Diane and Steve were not able to make it from Minnesota, but they sent a DVD of them playing music and singing songs with their sweet little girl Hannah. (They just adopted her and she is so adorable. I cannot wait to meet her in real life).

This is us waiting for the DVD to start

We played lots of games (Kevin got Ticket to Ride for Christmas and that is also one of our favorite games) and we ate a lot of delicious food. My nephew Justin got a rocket for Christmas, so we all went out and watched it go off.  The first time it went off it went perfectly. The second time it went off, the parachute didn't come out, and it crash landed.

We played some ping pong, around the world style, and I even won one of the rounds! Can you believe it. A 8.5 month pregnant woman beating everyone. It was really fun.

I am so grateful for the wonderful family that we have, and that Christ came to this earth to die for each one of us so that we can be forgiven of our sins and be able to live with Him again. I am grateful the the gospel in my life and for all the blessings it brings me. I love this Christmas season and hope to keep it in our hearts all year long.

Please look how cute my niece is..She just came and snuggled up to me, even though she hardly knows me. She made me so happy!

Kevin's Graduation

I am so proud of Kevin. On December 20,2013 he graduated from BYU- Idaho with his Bachelors in Financial Economics. This is so exciting for us (especially Kevin).

In the Morning I made muffins for breakfast. I tried to make this a special day, but it is hard when the one you are celebrating is so busy. Kevin had to do some work and homework from home that morning, so he sat up in his office and did his work for a couple of hours.

Later that day, Kevin's parents came down. It was so thoughtful that his dad was able to make it. Usually his dad cannot come to things like this because the cows have to be milked. But they were both there which made this event even more special.

We drove up to Rexburg, and Kevin being the gentleman that he is, dropped us off so we didn't have to walk through the snow and went and parked the car. We went into the BYU-Idaho Center for the first half of the graduation. The General Relief Society President, Linda Burton, was the main speaker. It was nice to hear the speakers, but since hundreds of people were graduating, we couldn't see where Kevin was in the sea of black robes.

See how impossible it would be to find him
After the speakers were finished, they had the all of the departments split up to do the commencement. Before the commencement started we walked around campus for a little bit and Kevin showed his parents the campus and the building that Kevin has been living in for the past couple of years. We went back to the Hart Auditorium for the commencement. Sister Burton spoke at his commencement along with President Clark, the President of BUY-Idaho. We watched Kevin walk across the stage and get his diploma and finally be graduated!

Kevin is behind the guy walking down the stairs, My phone is the worst at taking pictures when I want it to

It really was such a wonderful day. The next morning Kevin's family threw him a big breakfast party. Shannon, Collen, Aimee, Mike, Charity, Mom, Dad, and all the kids were there. It was so thoughtful of them to celebrate Kevin and this big accomplishment of his, even though it had snowed the previous night which made it hard to get to Mike and Charity's house.

I am so proud of Kevin and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our little family!

Baby Showers

December was a pretty busy month, and inside all of that chaos my sister and my sister-in-law both hosted a baby shower for me. One was in Idaho Falls and the other was in Morgan. It was so thoughtful of them to host the baby shower especially at a time of the month that is crazy for everyone.

On December 7th we had the baby shower in Idaho Falls. This mostly consisted of Kevin's side of the family. It was so kind to get so much support from his side of the family. A lot of his aunts and cousins came. Charity had put together some delicious sandwiches and side items. We ate a little lunch, then played some games. She had everyone write a little advice to me, which I am so grateful for, and we read some of those. Shannon put together a "How well do you know Jenna's Pregnancy" type game. It was really funny because most of the people there I do not talk to on a regular basis, so some of their answers were funny. Then everyone had to guess how big I was. They passed around some ribbon and they had to cut off how big a round I was, then they measured with the real sized ribbon.

It was such a fun day to spend with family, and it was so thoughtful of Charity to host this for me. I am so grateful for the people in my life that care about me and my little baby. (I even had a special chair decorated by my nephews)

On December 14th I went down to Morgan and my sister Shantel hosted a baby shower for me. This shower was mostly my side of the family, and some of my best friends from high school came.

It was so nice of everyone to travel down and come support me. We had some little snacks and chatted with everyone. We played a cute little game for name choices for the little baby, and she had everyone write little notes to me that she will send for the first several weeks of being a mom.

I am so grateful for the family that is here to support me and my choice to become a mom. It was so fun to have these parties and celebrate the life that is coming into this world.

Family Pictures

A while ago Kevin and I went and got Family Pictures. Kevin feels like we have been taking pictures none stop. Which is probably true, but we need to document our lives right? Plus since we live in the Rexburg area, there are many photography majors that need to build their portfolio, so we have gotten everything for free. It is awesome. We liked this photographer a lot more than the last one we got pictures from. She was so nice and personable. We went to a paintball field out in the middle of no where, and I think the pictures turned out pretty great. Here are some of our favorites.
