One Week Left!

I do not know if anyone knows how I have been living my life for the past four months, but it hasn't been my favorite. Kevin is a Professional Truck Driver. It really has been a blessing in our lives that he can make enough money for our needs, but Kevin is gone most of the week. For example, this week I have seen Kevin for two hours (see dinner in last post) and that is all for the whole week. Some weeks are better than others, but this has lasted for FOUR months! That is so long! But as of today, it is the official 1 week countdown for when Kevin will not be working as a truck driver all week. He still will work a little, but not as much. I am so happy to actually have a semi normal life! Wahoo! This is just a post to post my excitement about how amazing the next couple of months are going to be. Living in the same house most of the week. I can't wait!

Best Dinner Ever.

It is true. Kevin and I are true blue Americans. We love Kool-aid, fireworks, Hamburgers and fries. Especially the Hamburgers and fries. I came home from work yesterday and my cute little husband had prepared dinner! He hadn't cooked it because he was scared he was going to do something wrong (how cute huh!). But He had cut up several IDAHO potatoes, and cut tomatoes and onions and pickles and everything you would need for hamburgers and fries. So I got home and I started deep frying (delicious) the fries, (well I guess they were still potatoes being turned into fries).

Kevin started making the hamburgers. I had a plate with paper towels on it to dry off the oil from the fries when they were finished. Well, I had turned my back to the pot while the fries were cooking and all of a sudden Kevin said, "The plate is on fire!" I quickly turned around and the paper towel was touching the burner and it caught on fire. So I grabbed the plate as fast as I could. I was heading over to the sink to put it under the water. But silly Kevin wouldn't let me. He didn't want to get the fries that were on the plate wet! So I was pretty much freaking out. We were blowing on the fire trying to get it out. We finally got the fire out, AND WE SAVED THE FRIES! Yes, we saved the fries before trying to save the house, or our lives. We burnt our plate.

But if anyone is wondering, the fries and hamburgers were delicious. Two hours later we were both headed out to work for the rest of the night. Best surprise dinner ever. So if you haven't had a hamburger and french fries recently, you should 1) make some homemade delicious hamburgers and fries or 2) go out to eat. Treat yourself to the good American meal. ENJOY!

Christmas Time!

Right now I am sitting watching Elf (in my opinion one of the best Christmas movies out there) and I am just feeling the Christmas Season. We have not really decorated this year, mostly because I feel like it is pointless to decorate when Kevin is hardly home, and when no one else comes to our apartment. So I would be the only one enjoying the decorations. I feel a little bit bad because Christmas is Kevin's FAVORITE holiday! He just loves it so much! He wanted a Christmas Tree that was real, huge, and beautifully decorated! (Like so)

But since Kevin is gone most of the time, and we are moving right after Christmas, we decided not to get a Christmas Tree. I think Kevin was so sad inside because of his love for Christmas. So while he was out on one of his trips I decided to make a Christmas Tree. It turned out interesting...well I think so. This is our first Christmas Tree together.

Yes, it is pathetic. But it fits in our little living room. And it kind of brings some Christmas Cheer to our little apartment. I turned a little green table cloth and brown paper into a Christmas Tree. It is nothing big, but we love it. We even have some little presents under the tree. I have never been so excited for Christmas as I am this year. I don't know if it is just because it will be our first Christmas, or if it is because I am excited to go home and be with my family. But whatever it is I am so glad that I am excited for Christmas this year. I have loved the Christmas songs, and lights, and Food! I hope everyone is as excited for Christmas as I am this year! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The first of many.....hopefully!

Hello everyone who is reading this...I guess I could narrow that. Hello Shantel. So you wanted me to make this blog so here it is. I don't know how to put in pictures, or how to actually do anything. But this post is for you! So life is pretty uneventful. I am working at Shopko right now. It is pretty great. I just fold clothes all day. Doesn't that sound exciting? Everyone I work with is really nice. The only bad part is that I work with a lot of people who attend high school, which is not bad, but everyone thinks I am in high school. The first couple of days everyone thought I was 17. Ha ha...I am not 17. But the worst part is they think I am 17, and married. It is kinda funny.

Yesterday I went up to Rexburg to fill out papers for my internship. But it turns out I didn't have to. But I was up there...So I stopped by and visited Wesley Porter, and Crishelle, and some people from school. I also went to Zumba. Have you ever done a Zumba class before? It is SO fun! It is just like dancing...but it is great because Kevin doesn't really love to dance, so now I can just dance and work out by myself! It is such an amazing work out! I think I almost died...that might have been because I have been eating candy (thank you Wal-mart for 50% off Halloween candy) and have not been exercising for about 7 months

If you have never done a Zumba class before I highly recommend it! Also, if you don't have any candy in your house, I recommend you come to mine because I have a lot. And I would love to see you! I hope this satisfies you. I hope that I get to see you soon. And I will try to be better at blogging. I promise! I love you! And if anyone else ever reads this..I am sure I love you too! (I don't want to leave anyone out!) Until we meet again! BYE!
