This year Camille turned 10 years old. She is so special to us and we love her so much. To celebrate we wanted to take her on a 10 year old trip. After many hours of study and going back and forth on what she wanted to do we decided to go on a cruise. Then after many hours after that researching between Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Disney, we decided to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise.
It was her first time on an airplane, so she got her wings to fly, and we got her Panda Express in the airport. I love viewing things through Camille's eyes. She puts such a wonderful silver lining on everything. The airplane and airport were so magical through her eyes.
When we got into Florida we picked up some dinner at Chick-fil-A, and then we went to my friend Jaelle's house where she let us stay the night before the cruise left. It was so good to see Jaelle in her Florida house, and it was so nice of her to let us stay there for the night.
The next day was day one on the cruise. We got to Port Canaveral, and pretty much got straight on the ship. You can't go to your room yet, but we went and got some food, and walked around the ship getting more familiar with where we were going. The "free" pizza was a hit all throughout the cruise. We played a round of mini golf, and rode the carousel. Eventually, we made our way to the rock wall and Camille was able to climb the rock wall. She really enjoyed that.
That night after we had got back on the boat, and were warmed up, as we were wandering around and right as a face painter was setting up we hopped in line and were first to get Camille's face painted. After dinner we had tickets to go to the aqua show on the back of the boat. I was concerned because previous cruises I had been on, the entertainment was a little questionable, but it was amazing! We watched people diving off crazy high platforms and had a good time enjoying their talents.
The next day was better weather thankfully, and we were at Coco Kay! It was such a great day! We wandered around the island, played in the water and sand, ate ice cream, and relaxed. 10 out of 10 would recommend to go there.
Each night we went to the sit-down dinner and the waiters were so nice to us and to Camille. They always brought her a fruit plate, and they taught her how to fold napkins into fun shapes. They did a little origami with her, and gave her a Shirley temple drink. She felt special and they took such good care of us.
